A different kind of enrichment

Many Davidson YS families aren’t looking for more work.
They’re looking for learning that actually fits how their kids think.

LiD Quest is a 12-week, mentor-guided learning journey where learners explore one topic in real depth. On the journey, they learn how to uncover wonder, research meaningfully, wrestle with complexity, and turn curiosity into insight.

This is learning for kids who:

  • think deeply and intensely

  • want challenge with meaning, not busywork

  • love going down rabbit holes, and want better tools for research

  • crave connection with other curious minds

We'd love to join the next cohort!

I'm interested. Please keep me in the loop.

Why LiD Quest works for profoundly gifted learners

LiD Quest supports Young Scholars learners by focusing on what matters most:

  • Meaningful research: Learners learn how to research — not just how to collect facts.

  • A healthy relationship with struggle: Struggle isn’t a problem to fix; it’s part of deep learning.

  • Community with like-minded learners: Weekly conversations help learners connect, laugh, and see surprising links between ideas.

  • Intellectual rigor + real joy: This is serious thinking — and it’s also uproariously fun. Kids laugh, share insights, and interact with ideas in ways school rarely allows.

A program for the whole family (if you want it to be)

LiD Quest is designed so that gifted learners can learn alongside siblings. Parents are welcome to join the journey too — either as additional learners in their own right, or as "bantering partners" on the journey. Each registered learner in the family gets their own topic, yet you'll be on the learning adventure together. There's something really special about that.

Here's what DYS learners have to say about LiD Quest

“I loved it! Weekly chats helped me feel connected to other learners, and showed me the connections between our topics! I gained so much helpful feedback on how to collect data and research properly, and it let me unleash my creativity in ways that school doesn't let me.”
— Elle
“LiD taught me, ‘There is wonder in everything if you take the time to find it.’”
— Hudson
